Our office is right in the World Trade Centre on Babar Road. We are down on the lower ground floor, specifically at number 137. Being in Connaught Place is a bit of a double-edged sword. It’s very central and easy to find, but the traffic can be a real headache most days. The Irms Foundation (Indian Responsible Mineral Sourcing Foundation) isn't a massive organization, even though the address sounds impressive. We just have a few rooms downstairs where we handle everything. It stays a bit cooler down there in the summer, which we all appreciate. We deal with mineral sourcing, which involves a lot of reading through long reports and making calls. We aren't a big corporate entity with hundreds of employees. We are just a handful of people who want to make sure things are done the right way. Our desks are usually covered in folders and half-empty tea cups. We don't have a big, glowing sign or anything like that. People usually find us if they have a specific reason to be here. It’s a busy place, and we drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the day. We don't bother with polished language because we don't have time for it. We just focus on the tasks at hand. It takes a lot of effort, but we stay at it every day. Being in the heart of Delhi keeps us grounded and connected to the real world.
