People usually find us here at 111, Model Basti by looking for the old blue sign. We have been working with glass and frames for a long time now. Most mornings start with cleaning the dust off the display cases because the street outside gets pretty busy with traffic. It is a small place, honestly. You can see the workshop from the front counter where the machines are humming. We spend most of the day hunched over small parts and lenses. Sometimes the light isn't great in the back, but we make do with extra lamps. It gets loud when the grinders are running, so we usually have to raise our voices to hear each other. We are just a few people trying to get the orders done on time. Sometimes the courier is late, and that throws off the whole afternoon. We don't have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic chairs that have seen better days. People from the neighborhood drop by just to chat sometimes while we work. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. It’s just how things are at Indian Optics Pvt. Ltd. We keep our tools organized, or at least we try to, but by midday, things are usually scattered across the benches. There is no big corporate office here, just this room in Model Basti where we handle the daily business of making sure things stay clear.
