We are located on the first floor of the Rishyamook Building on Panchkuian Road. This area is mostly known for all the furniture shops, but we’ve been here for quite some time now. Being the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association means we deal with some pretty big topics. But inside the office, it is just a regular team of people. We have a lot of meetings about things like transformers, cables, and power grids. It might sound dry to some, but it is what keeps the lights on. The first floor is convenient because we do not have to wait for the lift most of the time. The office has a bit of an old-school feel to it, with wooden desks and lots of binders full of industry standards. We see a lot of visitors from the big manufacturing companies and some from the smaller electronics shops too. Panchkuian Road is always loud with traffic and people moving furniture, so it is never exactly quiet. We keep the windows shut to block out the dust and noise. We are not here to be flashy or show off. We just do the work of bringing all these different manufacturers together. It is a lot of paperwork and planning, but it feels important because electricity is something everyone needs. We usually finish the day with a quick chat about the commute home.
