Ikjot Marriage Bureau

Our office is situated in Patel Nagar West. If you are familiar with West Patel Nagar, you know how the lanes can be. We are right in the middle of it. We spend our days meeting with parents and looking over biodatas for marriage matches. It is a small place with just enough room for a few visitors to sit comfortably. We have been doing this for a long time. We have seen the neighborhood change and families grow. Our shelves are lined with folders of all different colors. We don't rely on big computer programs. We prefer the old-fashioned way of knowing people and their backgrounds. It involves a lot of talking and checking things out. The phone rings a lot, mostly parents asking if we have found anyone new. Sometimes we have to tell people to be patient because the right match doesn't just appear overnight. We aren't a big fancy agency with offices all over the city. We just stay here in Patel Nagar and do our work. There are days when it’s very quiet and other days when it’s completely packed with people. We don't have a uniform or a formal script. We just talk to people like regular neighbors. The goal is just to help families connect in a way that works for everyone involved. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we enjoy the process of meeting new people every day.
