You can find Hindi Sahitya Sadan at Shop Number 2 in the B D Chamber on D.B. Gupta Road. We are right in Karol Bagh, opposite the Hotel Gold Palace. This part of Delhi is always moving, with cars and rickshaws everywhere. Our shop is in a bit of an older building, which gives it a certain character. It’s not a shiny new showroom, just a practical space where we keep our collection of Hindi literature and other books. The shelves are heavy with books, and the floor sometimes has stacks of new stock that we haven't found a place for yet. We spend a lot of time talking to people who come in looking for specific authors. Karol Bagh has a lot of history, and we feel like we are a small part of that. The office gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of deliveries arriving, but we manage. My chair is old and the desk is cluttered with papers, but that’s how I like it. We don’t have a big marketing team; it’s just us here every day. People stop by on their way to the market or the hotel across the street. We keep the fans running to deal with the Delhi heat, and the sound of the traffic outside is constant. It’s a busy life, but it’s interesting to see who walks through the door each day looking for something to read in Hindi. We just keep doing what we do.
