Gujarat Textiles

At 2/38 Old Rajinder Nagar, right across from the BSES office, you’ll find our place, Gujarat Textiles. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the people heading to the government offices nearby. Our shop is pretty much filled from floor to ceiling with rolls of different fabrics. You have to be careful walking through the aisles so you don't trip over a bolt of cotton or silk. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. Most of the time, it’s just us measuring out meters of cloth for people who walk in or handling orders for regular customers. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we often take the fabric out to the doorway to see the real color in the sunlight. Old Rajinder Nagar has a lot of energy, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. We know the other shop owners and the guys who deliver the tea. It gets dusty, and the fans never seem to be fast enough in the summer, but we like it here. We don't make any big promises about being the best; we just show people what we have in stock and let them decide. It’s a straightforward way of doing business that has worked for us so far. We spend our evenings folding things back up and getting ready for tomorrow.
