Gravity Design Studio

Our studio is located in Karol Bagh, specifically at 15A/4 in the WEA area. It is very close to the Karol Bagh Metro Station, so the sound of the trains passing by is something we have grown used to hearing. Gravity Design Studio is where we spend our long afternoons working through different ideas. The air in here usually smells like printer ink and old paper. We do a lot of drawings, some on the computer and some just hand-drawn on whatever scrap of paper is nearby. Karol Bagh is a crowded, energetic place, and our office definitely reflects that vibe. There is always a pile of samples sitting in the corner, things like bits of wood, metal, and glass. We do not have a corporate feel at all. We wear jeans to work and stay late whenever we need to get a job done. Often, we are stuck on the phone with vendors or trying to figure out why a certain material is not arriving on time. It is a lot of logistics mixed with a bit of drawing. We do not promise any miracles. We just look at a space and try to figure out the most practical way to use it. Sometimes the ideas come easy, and other times we are stuck for a few days. That is just the way this kind of work goes. We like the grit of this neighborhood. (244 words)
