Goyal Timber Traders

Goyal Timber Traders is based out of the Assam Timber Market in Nangloi. We are at plot 73/3 in Swarn Park. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s full of wood and sawdust. That’s our daily life. We spend most of our time moving logs and planks around. It’s heavy work and it gets your hands rough. The yard is usually full of different types of wood stacked up high. We have to keep track of everything so we know what’s ready to go. Nangloi is a bit of a trek for some people, but for timber, this is where you come. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly stay outside or in the shed where the saws are. It’s loud when the machines are running, so we end up shouting to hear each other. We’ve got a small crew and we’ve worked together for years. We know the smell of different woods just by walking past them. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don't bother with fancy talk or big promises. People come here because they need wood for building things, and we provide it. Some days are rainy and it makes everything a mess, but we just cover the stacks and wait it out. It's just honest work in a busy market. We focus on the wood and getting the sizes right for the people who buy from us.
