Golden Spares

Karol Bagh is always a bit chaotic, especially here in Naiwala where the bikes are everywhere. We spend most of our mornings just dusting off the shelves at 26/1499 because the road outside stays busy all day long. My father started this place, and I’ve been sitting on this same wooden stool for about fifteen years now. People come to Golden Spares when they’ve looked everywhere else for a specific nut or a cable that stopped being made years ago. We have piles of boxes reaching the ceiling. Honestly, sometimes it takes me twenty minutes just to find what someone asked for. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows or air conditioning. Most of the time, the floor is covered in grease or packing paper. We drink way too many cups of tea from the stall across the lane while talking to mechanics. Most of our regulars are guys who work in the local garages around here. They know if we don't have it today, we will probably find it by Tuesday. When the summers get really hot in this shop, we keep a small table fan running that makes a lot of noise. It’s just how things go here. We don’t do much advertising because the shop sign is old and mostly faded anyway. If you walk down the main lane and ask for the spare parts guy near the corner, someone will point you here. It is just a regular shop for regular people.
