Elara Foundation

The Elara Foundation is based in the basement of S-243 in Greater Kailash Part-2. Being in a basement in GK-2 means it’s usually a bit quieter and cooler than the busy streets above. It’s a nice neighborhood, very well-known in South Delhi, and we are glad to have our office here. The space is used for all our administrative work and planning. It’s not a huge office, just a few rooms where we keep our computers and all the project files. We don’t have a flashy entrance; you just come down the stairs and you’re with us. Most of our day is spent coordinating with different groups or handling the paperwork that comes with running a foundation. GK-2 can get very busy with shoppers and residents, but once you’re down in our basement office, you can focus on the work. We keep things pretty simple here. There’s no corporate hierarchy or polished reception area; it’s just a group of us working around a few tables. Sometimes the lighting isn't the best because we are underground, but we’ve made it a comfortable enough place to spend the day. It’s a practical and central location for us to operate from in Delhi 110048, and we like the fact that we are in a neighborhood where things are always happening right outside.
