Dj Kimzy

We operate out of the basement at 30/46 in Old Rajinder Nagar. It is pretty easy to find if you look for the big water tank nearby. Everyone knows the water tank. We go by Dj Kimzy. Being in a basement means it stays relatively cool even when the Delhi sun is beating down on the streets above. It’s a bit of a maze getting down here sometimes. The stairs are narrow and we have to be careful when we are carrying stuff in or out. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a bunch of equipment and some cables running along the floor. We’ve been in Old Rajinder Nagar for a good bit now. The walls are thick, which is nice because we can make a bit of noise without the neighbors complaining too much. It’s just a handful of us working here. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting things or just organizing our gear. There’s no fancy signage out front, just the number on the door. We like the basement life. It feels quiet and away from the chaos of the main road. Sometimes the air gets a bit stuffy, so we have to open the door and let a breeze in from the stairwell. It’s an honest space for Dj Kimzy. We aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just use this basement to get our work done every day and it serves us well. Most evenings we just pack up and head out quietly.
