Delhi Automotives

Delhi Automotives is located on Naiwala Street in Karol Bagh. This whole street is famous for spare parts and bike repairs, so it is always loud with the sound of engines and tools. Our shop is just one of many, but we have been here long enough to know everyone. It is a greasy, busy place. We have parts for almost every kind of vehicle scattered around. There is no real filing system; we just know which shelf has what. If it’s not there, it’s probably in the back room under a pile of other things. I spend most of my day talking to mechanics and people looking for that one specific bolt or wire. It is not a clean environment. My hands are usually stained with oil by ten in the morning. We don't have a fancy waiting area with coffee. People just stand on the pavement and talk while we find what they need. Sometimes we have to order things from the bigger warehouses, and that takes a day or two. The street is so crowded that even walking is hard sometimes. We open early and stay until late evening. It is hard work and the summer heat makes it tough, but we are used to it. We don't do any big advertising. People find us by word of mouth or because they were walking past. It's just a regular shop on a busy street.
