Shine Star Creative Optical

You can find Shine Star Creative Optical at Shop No. 9 in Darya Ganj. We’ve been in this little shop for a while now. Darya Ganj is known for a lot of things, especially books, but there are plenty of us doing other things too. We focus on glasses and frames. It’s a small shop, so we have to use the space wisely. We have shelves lined with different styles of frames, some old and some newer ones. It’s not a high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s just a regular shop where you can get your eyes checked and pick out some glasses. I spend a lot of my time adjusting frames so they sit right on people's noses. It’s a bit of a craft, I suppose. Some people are very picky about what they want, while others just want something that doesn't break. We try to have a bit of both. The street outside is always noisy with people and rickshaws, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We don't do big advertising campaigns or anything. Most of our customers are locals or people who happen to be walking by and notice the sign. We’ve got our tools in the back for fixing hinges and cleaning lenses. It’s a steady job and we like the interaction with the people who come in. It’s just us, doing our best in Darya Ganj every day of the week.
