Continental Wire Industries

Continental Wire Industries is tucked away at 4767/23 on Ansari Road in Darya Ganj. This part of the city is always crowded and full of energy. Our building is one of many along this stretch, and it’s got that old-school feel to it. The stairs are narrow, and you have to watch your step when you're carrying things. Inside, we have our workspace set up for managing the wire business. There are rolls of wire samples here and there, and plenty of ledgers. We still like to keep some things on paper because it feels safer for our records. The desks are old wooden ones that have been with us for years. It’s a noisy area with all the horns and people shouting outside, but we don’t even notice it anymore. We mostly deal with wholesalers and people looking for specific types of industrial wire for their projects. It’s steady work and keeps us occupied from morning until evening. We have a small corner where we keep a stove for making chai. It’s the best part of the morning when the smell of tea fills the room and we can relax for a minute. We don’t have any marketing people or fancy brochures. We just talk to our customers and do our best to get them what they need. It’s how we’ve always done it here in Darya Ganj. It’s a simple life and a simple business, really.
