Confrere Events

Confrere Events is tucked away in Darya Ganj. We are in Classic Apartments, which is right by the post office. Darya Ganj is one of those places in Delhi that never seems to sleep. There is always someone shouting or a rickshaw bell ringing. Our office is basically an old apartment that we’ve used for years. It has high ceilings and thick walls, though you can still hear the traffic from the main road. We do event management. That sounds fancy, but it really just means we spend our time making sure things show up when they are supposed to. We are a small team and we don’t have any corporate hierarchy. Everyone just does what needs doing. One day I might be typing up a contract and the next I’m helping load a truck. We don't have a big reception area or a sign that lights up. It’s just a simple door in a residential building. We’ve been here long enough that the postman knows us by name. Darya Ganj is famous for its books and history, and we like being part of that. We don't use any complicated language to describe our work. We just tell people we’ll help them organize their stuff. Our desks are cluttered with folders and old coffee cups. It’s a real office where real work happens every day without any fuss.
