Compass Policy And Research Foundation

Our office is in the Akash Darshan Apartments, specifically unit number 112. This is over in Mayur Vihar Phase I, a part of East Delhi that we’ve grown quite fond of. We call ourselves Compass Policy and Research Foundation. It sounds like a big title, but really it’s just a few of us working on things we find important. We spend a lot of time reading, writing, and looking at data. The apartment is filled with papers and folders everywhere. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. We chose this location because it’s easy for us to get to and it’s quiet enough to get work done. Most of what we do involves looking at how policies affect regular people in Delhi. We aren't part of the government or a big university. We’re just independent folks trying to understand how things work. Sometimes the neighbors wonder what we’re doing with all those documents. We try to keep things simple. No corporate buzzwords here. We just want to find out the facts and share them when we can. Working from 110091 gives us a good perspective on the city. We’ve been here for a while now, and the routine is pretty set. We start early, drink a lot of tea, and try to make sense of the world. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do.
