Chemito Instruments Pvt. Ltd. is up on the sixth floor of Vikram Tower, which is number 16 in Rajendra Place. It’s a big office building and things can get a bit hectic in the mornings with everyone trying to use the elevators at the same time. Once you get inside our unit, room 601, it’s a bit more organized but still very busy. We have benches set up for checking instruments and shelves full of technical manuals and spare parts. It’s not a huge office, so we have to keep things somewhat tidy so we can actually move around. The view from the window shows a lot of the city, but we’re usually too focused on the equipment to look out much. We spend a lot of time on the computer or testing various gadgets to make sure they are reading correctly. It’s quiet work compared to a factory, but it requires a lot of concentration. We have a small pantry where we make tea and chat for a few minutes before getting back to work. We aren't a corporate giant with thousands of employees; we’re just a dedicated group of people working in a high-rise in Delhi. There’s always a bit of a hum from the air conditioners and the sound of keyboards clicking. It’s a steady environment where we just try to get through our list of tasks every day and manage the workload.
