Chand Social Foundation

We are based out of GI Block in West Delhi. Specifically, we are at Jhuggi number 120/109. It is a humble spot, nothing fancy at all. This whole thing was started by the son of the late Mr. Habib Khan. He wanted to keep a legacy going in the neighborhood. We do not have a lot of space, but we use every inch of it. Living and working in this part of Delhi means you see a lot of things every day. We are not here to give speeches or win awards. We just see things that need fixing and we try to do it. It is often hot in the summer and crowded, but that is just life here. We do not have a big budget for decorations or office furniture. Most of our stuff is second-hand or just what we could find. We spend most of our time talking to the neighbors and seeing what is happening on the street. West Delhi is a busy place, and 110064 is our little corner of it. It is hard work, and sometimes we wonder if we are making a dent, but then someone stops by and it feels okay again. We are not trying to change the whole world, just our little block. We do not use big words to describe what we do. We are just here, day in and day out, doing the best we can with what we have in GI Block.
