Capital Studio

Capital Studio is right here at B 5 in Connaught Place, which is a place everyone knows. Being near Connaught Circus means there’s always people walking by, tourists and office workers mostly. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The shop has that old smell of photo paper and chemicals, even though things are mostly digital now. We have some old cameras on the shelves that don't really work anymore, but they look nice as decorations. People come in for passport photos or sometimes a family wants a proper portrait done before a wedding. It gets busy in the afternoons. Sometimes the light in the studio is a bit finicky, so we have to spend time moving the umbrellas around to get it right. We don't have a fancy website or anything. Most people just see our sign when they're coming out of the metro or walking to one of the nearby restaurants. The walls are covered in photos we’ve taken over the decades. Some of the people in those pictures are probably grandparents now. It’s a small space, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time just talking to the regulars who drop by for a chat while their prints are finishing. CP is always loud and crowded, but inside the studio, it’s a bit quieter. We just keep doing what we do every day without making too much of a fuss about it.
