Bright Auto Parts

Bright Auto Parts is located at T 2527 in the Guru Nanak Market area of Karol Bagh. It’s one of those parts of Delhi where you can find almost anything for a vehicle if you look long enough. Our shop is quite small, and we have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. We use a wooden ladder to reach the boxes at the top, and it squeaks every time someone climbs it. The market is always crowded, and the air smells like rubber and engine oil. We spend most of our time answering questions from mechanics who come in looking for specific bolts or filters. Sometimes we don't have what they want, so we have to call around to other shops nearby. It’s a lot of coordination. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number and the name. The floor is concrete and shows a lot of wear from all the heavy parts being moved around. We have a small electric kettle for making tea because it’s hard to leave the shop when it’s just one or two of us working. The paperwork sits in a pile on a small metal desk near the entrance. It is a simple way of living, just buying and selling parts day after day. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to work until it's dark.
