Bina General Store

Bina General Store is sitting right at 291 Shiv Mandir Wazirabad. I have been working here for many years now and the walls have seen a lot of people come and go. It is not a very big place, just enough room for the essentials that people in Wazirabad need every day. We open up the shutters early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. The temple nearby gets busy and we see the devotees walking past. We sell things like soap, lentils, and those small packets of biscuits the kids like. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road and the neighbors complain, but we get it sorted out eventually. The shelves are made of old wood and they creak a little if you put too much weight on them. We don't have a computer to do the bills, just a pen and a pad of paper. It feels more real that way. During the monsoon, the rain hits the tin roof so loud we have to shout to hear the customers. My wife brings me tea in the afternoon and we sit on the plastic stools near the front. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We know who likes which brand of tea and who is waiting for the new stock of flour to arrive. We just stay here and do our work.
