Bhagwan Mahavir Deshna Foundation

Daryaganj is a place that everyone in Delhi knows for the books and the old buildings. We are tucked into Prakash House at 4379/4B, right on Ansari Road. Our office is number 201, so you have to head up the stairs to find us. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character, even if the lift is sometimes a bit moody. Being part of the Bhagwan Mahavir Deshna Foundation means we spend a lot of time in this busy part of the city. The traffic outside on Ansari Road is always something else, especially in the afternoons. Inside, though, it’s mostly just us trying to keep things organized. We have stacks of papers and maybe some old furniture that’s seen better days. It doesn't look like those offices you see in magazines, but it works for us. People know where we are, and they stop by when they need something or just to say hello. Working in Daryaganj has its own rhythm. You get used to the chai stalls and the sound of rickshaws. We don’t try to act like a big corporate entity because we aren't. We are just a group of people in an old office building trying to do something useful. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic, but we keep the windows shut and just carry on with our daily tasks. It’s just how things are here for us every day.
