Bansal General Store

Bansal General Store is easy to find on Ram Dwar Road in Paharganj, at number 4936/37. Paharganj is always a bit chaotic, and our store is a reflection of that. We have shelves packed from floor to ceiling with everything you might need for a house. There are soaps, lentils, snacks, and cleaning supplies all jostling for space. The building at 4936/37 is an old one, so the ceilings are high but the aisles are very narrow. We have been here on Ram Dwar Road for years, and we know most of the people who walk through the door. Some are travelers staying in the local hotels, while others are neighbors we see every single morning. The shop is a bit dark inside, but we know exactly where every item is hidden. There is no computer to scan things; we just know the prices and add them up. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to get their carts through the crowded street, which makes for some loud mornings.
