Atam Apparels Pvt. Ltd. is located right in the middle of everything at 16/1090 E, Khalsa Nagar. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crowded it gets. There is always someone moving through the lanes. Our spot is tucked away a bit, but it stays active from morning until late evening. Most of the time, the rooms are full of fabric and people sewing or packing things up. It isn’t the quietest place to work, but we are used to the hum of the machines by now. Khalsa Nagar has its own rhythm. We’ve seen the shops around us change names over the years while we stayed put at 16/1090 E. It’s a tight space, but every inch is used for something. Sometimes we have to move stuff out onto the sidewalk just to reorganize the floor. The stairs are narrow, so moving big bundles is always a bit of a workout for the guys. We don't really do much in the way of fancy stuff. It’s just work. People come in, do their shifts, and head home. Karol Bagh can be a headache with the parking, so most of us just take the metro or walk. Atam Apparels Pvt. Ltd. has been part of this block for a good while. You get to know the tea seller and the other workers nearby. It’s a community of sorts. Just a regular business doing what it does every day. We keep going.
