Being on Ashoka Road means we are close to a lot of the government buildings and old landmarks. Ark Royale Agencies Pvt.Ltd. is the name on the door, and we deal with shipping and NVOCC work. It’s an old building, Aditya Sadan, so it has that classic Delhi feel to it. The rooms have high ceilings and it can get a bit drafty in the winter, but we like it here. Shipping is a complicated business with lots of moving parts, literally. We spend our days coordinating with various ports and agents. It’s not a fancy job by any means. We drink a lot of chai and talk to people on the phone all day. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and we have to stay late to clear it. New Delhi is a fast-paced place, and being centrally located helps us stay in the loop with what’s happening in the industry. We don't really have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the containers and the vessels we are supposed to be tracking. It's a lot of coordination and making sure people get their stuff. We’ve been at number 13 for a good while now and the neighbors in the building are mostly other long-term offices.
