Arcelor Mittal

Arcelor Mittal is up in the World Trade Centre, specifically at room 429 on Babar Road. It’s a pretty busy part of town with a lot of people coming and going from the various offices in the building. Our side of things deals mostly with steel and managing all the moving parts that come with a big operation like this. Even though the building looks very modern and professional, we are just a team of people sitting at desks making sure the numbers and the orders match up with what the plants are doing. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets to track where the shipments are going. It’s quite different from being on the factory floor, but the work is still just as important to keep things moving. The office can get a bit hectic in the afternoons when everyone is trying to finish their reports. We have been at this address for some time now and it’s a convenient spot for meetings since everyone knows where the World Trade Centre is. We don't have fancy decorations or anything, just our computers and some samples of what the company produces around the world. It’s a lot of coordination and talking to different departments across the country. We try to keep things straightforward and avoid making things more complicated than they need to be. It is just a group of employees doing their bit to make sure the steel business keeps running smoothly every day.
