Amega Books

Amega Books is located at Shop No. G8/7/28 in Vardaan House. We are right on the main road in Darya Ganj, which is a very busy spot. Being opposite Delhi Public School means we see a lot of activity every single day. There’s always the sound of school buses and kids shouting in the morning. Our shop is quite small, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the books. Every inch of wall space is covered with shelves. It can feel a bit tight when there are more than two people inside. We’ve been here for a long time and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Running a book shop here means dealing with the constant noise and the heat. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns at the counter. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything like that. Most of our customers are locals or people who happen to be passing by on the main road. Sometimes the computer acts up or the internet goes down, and we have to do everything by hand. It’s just how it goes. We enjoy the work though. It’s nice to be part of the local community and see the same faces every week. It’s a simple, practical life selling books in a very busy part of Delhi.
