Our little office for the Amarjyoti Social Welfare Charityfoundation is located out in Pooth Khurd, right near Kastoori Model School. If you know the Bawana area, you know it's a bit of a trek from the main city, but it’s where we are needed most. We’re at Khasa No 154/95. It’s a quiet spot most mornings until the school kids start arriving. We started this foundation because we saw things that needed doing in North West Delhi. It’s not a big operation with hundreds of employees. Mostly it's just us sitting around a table figuring out the next steps for our projects. The building is simple, nothing fancy to look at. We spend most of our time out in the community rather than sitting behind desks anyway. Sometimes the dust from the roads gets in, but we don't mind much. Being near the school helps us stay connected to the families nearby. We’ve been in this part of Bawana for some time now and the locals know where to find us. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just focus on the charity work and keeping the lights on. It’s honest work and we do it from this small corner of the world. Hopefully, what we do makes some kind of difference for the people living nearby.
