Aksav Foundation

Aksav Foundation is situated at 8 A/31 on the ground floor in the WEA area of Karol Bagh. It’s right near Alfa Garden, so that’s the best landmark to look for if you’re coming to see us. Karol Bagh is always moving, and there’s always something happening right outside our door. Being on the ground floor means we hear a lot of the street noise, but we don't mind it much anymore. It makes the day go by faster. The office itself is pretty simple, with some chairs and tables and not much else in the way of decoration. We focus more on getting our tasks finished than on how the place looks to outsiders. Every morning, someone comes in early to open the locks and maybe sweep the front step. We don't have any big corporate rules about how to act; we just treat each other like neighbors. If someone is running late because of the Metro, we understand. We drink a lot of chai during the day to stay sharp. It’s a busy environment in Central Delhi, and we try to keep up with the pace as best as we can. We are just a small team working out of this space, doing what needs to be done. It’s not a complicated setup, but it works for us and the people who drop by from the neighborhood. We just take it one day at a time here.
