Agyanata Vimochan Foundation

Our foundation, Agyanata Vimochan Foundation, is up on the third floor of building 2759 in Karol Bagh. If you know the area, it is Beadonpur Gali Number 22. It is quite close to the main road, which is lucky because those narrow streets can get really confusing for anyone who doesn't live around here. Being on the third floor means a lot of stairs every day, but it gives us a little bit of quiet away from the noise of the traffic and the shoppers. Karol Bagh is always loud, but we’ve gotten used to it. The office itself is simple. We have some chairs and a few desks where we do our thinking and planning. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have people coming in to talk, but we manage just fine. We don't have a big sign outside, so you have to look for the number. It’s just a practical space for us to get things done. Most of the people working here are from around the neighborhood. We drink a lot of tea while we work on our projects. It isn’t a corporate setup with fancy computers. It is just a place where we try to help out where we can. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but that isn't really a priority right now. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks that come our way and try to keep things moving forward for the people we assist.
