Down in Nabi Karim, specifically on Jhandewalan Road, you’ll find our place at 10656. It’s a crowded area known for bags and luggage, and we fit right in with the rest of them. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of suitcases, backpacks, and travel bags. You have to watch your step because there’s almost always a pile of boxes near the entrance. We’ve been here long enough that we don't mind the noise of the traffic or the shouting of the street vendors. Most of our work involves showing people how the zippers work or explaining why one bag is heavier than the other. We don't have any polished sales pitches; we just tell people what we know about the stuff we sell. The walls are a bit faded, and the floor has some scratches from dragging heavy trunks around, but it doesn't bother us. We open up early and stay until the street lights come on. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific color in the back of the store, which can take a bit of time. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We keep it simple and don't try to act like a big department store. It's just a regular bag shop where you get what you see, and we try to keep things moving as best as we can every day.
