Accurate Spares

You’ll find Accurate Spares down in the basement of 1022 on Arya Samaj Road in Karol Bagh. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get down there, and the ceiling is lower than you might expect. The whole place is filled with shelves that go all the way to the top, packed with boxes of every shape and size. Karol Bagh is always crowded, so just getting to the shop can be an adventure with all the rickshaws and people on the street. Inside the basement, it’s a bit cooler than outside, which is nice in the summer. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much we try to clean it, mostly because of the constant movement of parts. We know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a jumble to anyone else. There’s no fancy lighting, just some tube lights that flicker once in a while. We spend a lot of time digging through boxes to find that one specific spare part someone needs. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The noise from Arya Samaj Road filters down a little, but mostly it’s just the sound of us moving things around. It’s a practical little spot in a very busy part of town, and we like it that way despite the constant hustle.
