Laxmi Vidhyalaya is right there in Khambhat, which is part of the Anand district. It is a coastal town and the air often feels a bit salty. The school is a simple one, and it has been serving the local families for quite some time. We don't have a lot of modern amenities or fancy tech labs. Most of our rooms are just filled with rows of wooden benches and a desk for the teacher. Khambhat is a place where people know their neighbors, and the school is no different. We see the same faces at the local shops and in the streets. The building itself is a bit old-fashioned with thick walls and heavy doors. During the monsoon season, we have to deal with a lot of dampness, but we just get on with things. We don't spend time writing long speeches about our goals or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the windows, and start the day. The children here are mostly from the town and they bring a lot of life to the old building. We spend our days teaching, grading, and occasionally fixing a broken window or a door hinge. It is a very grounded existence. We aren't looking to expand or become some huge name; we are just happy to be the local school in Khambhat. It is a steady, quiet life and we like it that way.
