Jaipur Gem

Jaipur Gem is our little place located at Teen Darwaja. We are right near the S.D. Kapdiya School in Anand district. It’s a well-known spot, so people don't usually have trouble finding us. We have been working with stones and gems for quite some time now. The shop is small and we don't have any big display windows. Most of what we do happens at the back where we look at the pieces. It’s a bit dusty because of the work we do. Being near a school means there is always noise during the day when the kids are around. We don't mind it though. Anand is a good place for a business like ours. We don't do any flashy marketing or anything like that. We just sit at our benches and work on the gems. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk. Other days we have a lot to get through. We keep our tools handy and the light has to be just right for the work. It’s a very practical setup. We aren't trying to be some big corporate jeweler. We are just local people doing this work for the neighborhood. People come in with things their grandmothers gave them or just looking for something small. We just show them what we have available. It’s a simple life at Teen Darwaja. We just keep the door open and stay busy until it's time to head home.
