You can find us on the 3rd floor of Malabar Gate. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. This isn't one of those massive showrooms you see on the main streets with all the lights and glass. This is where we handle the back-end stuff for the gold business. We spend our days dealing with inventory, checking the weights, and making sure the accounts are right. There are a few of us here, mostly sitting at desks with calculators and ledgers. It is quiet compared to the street outside. People think the gold business is all glamour, but it is mostly just careful counting and a lot of security checks. We have been at this address for a while now. The building is older, but it works for what we need. Sometimes customers come up here if they have a specific question about an order, but mostly it is just us and the paperwork. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. The view from the third floor isn't much, just the tops of other buildings and the street below. We keep things simple and try to stay organized. It is a steady job, and we know our regulars. We don't need a lot of flash to get the work done. The stairs are good exercise anyway when we have to use them.
