South City Hospital

We are located in Meherpur, right near the Silchar Polytechnic. If you are heading down that way, you can’t really miss the hospital. Being near the polytechnic means there are always students walking around and a lot of activity in the area. South City Hospital here in Silchar is a busy spot. We have a lot of local folks coming in from the nearby villages and the town itself. The building is functional and stays open day and night. It isn't a very quiet place because there is always something going on, whether it's a new patient arriving or the change of shift for the nurses. The rooms are basic but they do the job. We have been part of the Meherpur landscape for a while now, and most people in P.O. Silchar know exactly where we are. The front area gets a bit dusty during the dry season, and when it rains, the water really comes down on the roof. We spend our time checking charts and making sure the supplies are stocked up. It’s a lot of work running a hospital in this part of town, but we have a good rhythm going. There aren't any big fancy slogans here, just people doing their jobs and patients trying to get better so they can head back home.
