Being on Hospital Road means there is always a lot of movement outside. You see people coming and going from the clinic, and there’s always a bit of noise from the street. Our office is pretty basic. We have some old wooden desks and a few chairs for visitors. We don't have a receptionist or any of that fancy stuff. Whoever is closest to the door just answers it. Most of us here are from the Cachar region, so we speak the local way and know the local problems. We aren't trying to be some big, polished organization. We are just a group of people who wanted to do something useful. Our days are spent mostly on the phone or filling out forms. It’s practical, everyday work. The weather here in Karimganj can be really hot, so we usually keep the windows open to catch a breeze. We don't have any promotional brochures or big speeches. If people want to know what we do, they just come in and ask. We have been here for a while now and the neighbors are used to seeing us. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy enough. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep our records straight. No big plans, just work.
