Rahmania Traders

Our business, Rahmania Traders, is out in Masimpur, in the Bhangerpa taluka area of Cachar. We are very easy to find because we are right near the Indian Oil petrol pump. You see a lot of trucks and local cars stopping there for fuel, and we see all that action from our front door. The area can get pretty dusty because of the road, but we are used to it. Most of our day is spent dealing with traders and people from around the district. It’s a lot of talking and moving goods. We don’t have an air conditioner, just a big ceiling fan that spins all day long to keep the heat away. The petrol pump is like a landmark for everyone around here. When we give directions, we just tell people to look for the Indian Oil sign and then head toward us. It’s a quiet life when the traffic dies down in the evening. We have been here for a good while and the locals know us by name. We don't have any fancy posters or big signs. It’s just Rahmania Traders on a simple board. We focus on the day-to-day trading and making sure everything is counted correctly. It’s a lot of manual work and checking lists. We enjoy the pace of being out here near the main road. Some days are busier than others depending on what shipments come in or how many people stop by for fuel and have a chat.
