We are located way out in Silchar, specifically on Kadiria Road in the Modhurbond area. Purbanchal Cement has been a part of this community in Assam for a good while. Dealing with cement means things get a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just the nature of the business we are in. We have our office right here in District Cachar. It’s a pretty straightforward operation. We deal with the bags of cement and the logistics of getting them where they need to go. The weather in Silchar can be a bit unpredictable, especially during the monsoon season, but we keep things moving as best as we can. We aren't some massive corporate entity with slick marketing; we are just local people working in the construction supply trade. Our address is easy to find if you know the post office area. We spend our days talking to contractors and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. It’s honest work. The office itself is practical, nothing fancy at all. We have a lot of old ledgers and a couple of computers that have seen better days. But it works for what we need. People around here know us by name. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We just provide the cement that builds the houses and shops around here. It’s a busy life, but we like being part of the growth in this part of Assam.
