About Makunda Christian Hospital – Medical & Healthcare in Cachar
Being out here in Bazaricherra, things are usually steady at Makunda Christian Hospital. We aren't in a big city, so it’s a bit different. The air is probably a bit cleaner, but the work is still hard. Folks come in from the local tea estates and the villages around here. The hospital is just a simple building. It’s not one of those glass towers you see in the news. There are a few wards and a place for people to wait. Sometimes the rainy season makes it hard for people to reach us, but they manage. Our days are spent checking on patients and making sure the floors are clean enough. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between rooms. Most of the staff has worked at the hospital for a long time. You get used to the sounds of the place, like the fans humming or the doors creaking. Bazaricherra is a small place, so word travels fast if someone is sick. The front desk doesn't look like a hotel; it’s just a counter where people sign in. We try to keep the wait times down, but it’s not always possible when a lot of people show up at once. It’s just how it goes. There isn't much to say about ourselves other than we are here in Bazaricherra and we do what we can every day. We just stay open for those who need us to be here.
