Larsen & Toubro Limited

Larsen & Toubro Limited has been set up here along the R.D.Adhikari National High Way in Silchar for some time now. Being right on the highway means there is always something going on outside our doors. You hear the trucks and the buses passing by at all hours of the day and night. It is a busy part of town and the dust from the road usually covers everything by noon. We spend a lot of our time just managing the daily tasks that come with being in such a transit-heavy area of Assam. The office isn't anything too fancy but it works for what we need to do. Most of the guys here are local or have been staying in Silchar long enough to know the shortcut routes. We usually start the day with a quick check on the site and some tea from the stall just down the road. It’s a practical way to live and work. Sometimes the weather gets really humid and the rain can be heavy, which slows things down on the highway. We just keep moving along with our schedules. There isn't any big corporate talk here, just people doing their jobs. We are easy to find if you are driving along the R.D.Adhikari National High Way. It’s a landmark of sorts for the people who live nearby. We like being part of the local scene here in Silchar, even with all the noise. Every day is a bit different but the highway always stays the same.
