Golden Star

Our business, Golden Star, is located in the village of Paikan. We are in the Hailakandi district, which is a pretty quiet and green area overall. If you are trying to find us, the best way is to look for the Kali Mandir. We are right near to it, so you can usually hear the temple bells throughout the day when the rituals are happening. It is a peaceful and calm spot to work. The name Golden Star might sound like we are some big corporation with a lot of branches, but we are just a local setup in the village. We handle different things here and keep ourselves busy with the daily chores that need doing. The weather in Hailakandi can be quite wet during the long monsoon season, and the roads around Paikan get a bit difficult to navigate with all the mud. We mostly deal with people from the local community who know us by name and stop by for a chat. It is not the kind of place where you see many strangers or tourists. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or glass walls. We just have our simple workspace and a few chairs for guests to sit on. Being near the temple gives the whole place a very nice and grounded feel. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to be helpful to whoever stops by the village. It is a simple life for us.
