Chandypore Tea Estate

Our place is at the Chandypore Tea Estate, which you will find near the airport in Silchar. The post office is right in Chandipur, so it is easy for mail to get to us. Living and working on a tea estate is different from being in the middle of a city. It is a lot of green space and outdoor work. We spend a lot of time watching the weather because the rain really matters for how the tea grows. It is not a nine-to-five kind of job where you just sit at a desk. We are often out checking on the plants or seeing how the processing is going in the sheds. The airport nearby means we see planes taking off all the time, but otherwise, it can be quite peaceful here. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a big headquarters in a skyscraper. Our office is just a simple room with some old wooden furniture and a view of the fields. We don't try to sound like a big corporation because we aren't one. We are just a group of people working on the land. Sometimes the machines break down or the road to Silchar gets flooded, but we just deal with it as it comes. It is a quiet life centered around the tea, and we wouldn't want it any other way.
