Sahyadri Cashew Processors

Our place is at 138, 1st Main Road in Hosaherawatta. Sahyadri Cashew Processors is where we spend our long hours getting the nuts ready for everyone to eat. It’s a noisy environment most of the time because of the cracking and sorting machines we have running. The smell of cashews is pretty much stuck in our clothes by the end of the shift. We aren't a big factory with robots; it’s a lot of manual work and people keeping an eye on the quality. Some days the heat in the processing area gets a bit much, but we take breaks and keep going. We get the raw cashews in big bags and then the real work starts. It’s a process that takes time and you can’t really rush it if you want things to turn out right. Our office is just a small corner with a desk that’s usually covered in invoices and delivery notes. We don't have a website designer or a marketing person telling us what to say. We just know how to handle cashews and how to get them packed up for the shops. People in Hosaherawatta know where we are if they need a large order. We don't do much advertising because the work usually speaks for itself. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite a while now. We just let the machines do their thing while we watch the details.
