Baraon Hotels & Resorts is located in Dumraon, which is in the Buxar district of Bihar. Our place is on Station Road, right near the Purana Talab. Rajiv Ranjan Singh is the owner, and his father is Devtosh Singh. We’ve lived in this town for a long time, so we know most of the people who pass by our door. Being so close to the station means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. The sound of the trains is just part of the background for us now. We aren't a big corporation. We’re just a local operation in a small town. My mornings usually involve a lot of cleaning and getting things ready for whoever might show up from the next train. We like being near the old pond because it’s a bit of a landmark in a busy area. I sometimes walk down there myself when I have a break from work. We don't do any fancy marketing or advertising. Most of our guests are people who are in town for a few days and need a place to stay near the railway. We focus on the basics and don't try to be something we aren't. It’s a lot of manual work, like fixing things around the building and managing the staff. We just take things as they come and try to be honest in our business. It’s a simple life here in Buxar.
