Being located right on National Highway No.84 in Buxar makes for a very loud and busy workday. We are tucked in near the Gramin Bank, the Punjab National Bank, and the Canara Bank, so there are always people around doing their errands. The constant sound of trucks and cars passing by on the highway is something you just get used to after a week or two. Our yard at Alb Bricks is mostly about getting the job done. We have these big stacks of bricks that need to be sorted and loaded daily. Because we are so close to the banks, we try to keep the dust down as much as we can, but with bricks, that is always a bit of a challenge. The wind picks up and carries the grit everywhere. We are a registered private limited company, but it does not feel corporate when you are actually here on the ground. It is just a group of us working hard to keep the supply moving. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we are in a spot where everyone passes by. Most of our days are spent checking the batches coming off the trucks and making sure the counts are right for the customers. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it is what we know. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the way of the highway traffic.
