Ambulance - Raju Patil Ambulance Service is based out of the Tapti Hospital Compound at number 51 in Lal Bagh. Being right inside the hospital compound makes things a bit easier because we are already where a lot of the action is. Lal Bagh is a familiar area for most people around here, and the hospital is a big landmark. We have our own little space here where we keep the vehicles and stay ready for the next trip. It’s not a fancy setup. It’s mostly just the vans and a small room where we can sit. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the drivers and the staff, making sure everything is in order. The compound can get pretty crowded with cars and people coming and going from the hospital, but we’ve learned how to navigate through it quickly. People usually find us because they are already at Tapti Hospital or they’ve heard about us from someone in Lal Bagh. We don’t do anything special to stand out. We just try to be available when the phone rings or when someone walks over to the compound looking for help. It’s practical and it’s what we’ve been doing for years from this same spot. We just focus on the job and don't worry about the rest. Sometimes the hospital gates are a bit slow but we make do.
