Bombay Cotton Textiles

Our place is the Bct Compound over at Alamganj, right by Ganpati Naka. It’s a big space because you need plenty of room when you’re dealing with textiles. Bombay Cotton Textiles has been here long enough that everyone in the neighborhood knows the name. The Ganpati Naka area is always loud and full of trucks trying to navigate the turns. Moving rolls of fabric around takes a lot of effort and some muscle. We don't have a showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It’s just a warehouse and a small office space where we handle the bills and the phone calls. The dust from the cotton is just part of the job. You get used to it after a week or two. We keep the doors open mostly to let some air in, otherwise it gets too stuffy inside with all the stock. The compound has a bit of a rough look, but it serves the purpose. We aren't some big city firm with a glass building and suits. We work with our hands and stay busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow roads near Alamganj, but we manage to get them in and out. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve stayed at this address because it’s where the work is. Nothing fancy, just rolls of cloth and a lot of hard work every single day. We don't see any reason to change it at all.
