You can find us right on G.T. Road in Panagarh Bazar. It’s a loud area because of all the traffic moving between cities, but we’re used to it by now. Cardan India has been operating out of this spot for a good while. We deal with propeller shafts and other drive line components. If you walk into our workshop, you’ll see stacks of metal tubes and joints everywhere. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. The guys working the lathes have been doing this for a long time. They don't need much instruction anymore. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, so we’re always wiping down the benches. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. People usually just pull up in their trucks or send a message about what they need. It’s a straightforward way of doing business. Panagarh can get really hot, so we have a few big fans blowing all day to keep the air moving. We eat our lunch together in the back room most days. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just focus on the work sitting on the bench. When the sun goes down, we lock up the shutters and head home, then do it all again the next morning. It’s just the usual work on a busy road. We try to finish what is on the schedule before we leave.
