Z.P.Marathi Primary School

Z.P.Marathi Primary School is located in Karanwadi, which is a small village in the Buldhana district. Since it is a Zilla Parishad school, it is a government-run place for the local children. The building is small and painted in a simple color, and it sits right in the heart of the village. We teach in Marathi, which is the language everyone here speaks at home. The school day starts with a simple assembly in the front yard. We don't have many classrooms, so sometimes different age groups have to share a space. It is a very humble setup. There are no fancy computers or big libraries here. We use slates and notebooks for most of our work. The kids are mostly from farming families, and they are very energetic. You can hear them laughing and running around as soon as the bell rings for a break. We have a small kitchen area where the midday meals are prepared for the students. The teachers here are mostly from this region, so we understand the local life well. It is a basic school, but it is an important part of Karanwadi. We just focus on teaching the basics like reading, writing, and math. Life here moves slowly, and the school is just a quiet, steady part of the village routine. Every day is pretty much the same, and that is exactly how we like it.
